A cooperation agreement to strengthen business ties between Paris CDG Airport Area and the future Beijing Aerotropolis

An agreement was signed on July 1st, 2016 between the Hubstart Paris Region® Alliance, in charge of worldwide promotion for the Paris CDG Airport Area, represented by Val d’Oise County Council Deputy Chairman Philippe Sueur, and Beijing New Aerotropolis Holding, in charge of developing the airport area around Beijing’s new international airport, represented by its Chairman Hui CAO.

This cooperation agreement aims at establishing an interwoven promotion of both airport areas by encouraging foreign companies seeking to take advantage of the proximity of Paris-CDG’s world-class hub, as well as of the opportunities stemming from Beijing’s upcoming new hub, to settle and develop their business there, contributing in this way to create jobs and boost business dynamism in airport areas.

This is now the third international agreement signed by the Hubstart Paris Region® Alliance. The previous ones were signed with the Greater Atlanta in 2011, and with Shanghai-Pudong in 2012.

This business tour to China was also an opportunity for members of the Hubstart Paris Region® Alliance delegation, including Jean-François Benon, Managing Director of the Val d’Oise Economic Expansion Committee, and Elisabeth Le Masson, Project Director for Jobs and Business Promotion at Aéroports de Paris (Groupe ADP), to maintain the dialogue with Chinese business and institutional partners regarding the challenges and major development projects at both airport areas, and to identify avenues of cooperation for the coming months.
Accordingly, Beijing New Aerotropolis Holding will be among the key international speakers to address the 6th Sustainable Airport Areas International Seminar to be held by the Hubstart Paris Region Alliance in Atlanta on September 21st and 22nd, 2016.

« This cooperation agreement marks the beginning of an enhanced, fruitful relationship between the Hubstart Paris Region Alliance and Beijing New Aerotropolis Holding. It will lead to the creation of synergies and will foster dialogue and business ties between Greater Roissy and the future Beijing airport area, both of which will advance the growth and international appeal of our regions. We are very pleased with the support and trust we enjoy from our Chinese partners and we look forward to our next shared initiatives,”
Mr Philippe Sueur, Vice Chairman, Val d’Oise Conty Council, and Vice Chairman, Hubstart Paris Region Alliance

« Thanks Hubstart Paris Region for their support to Beijing New Aerotropolis Holding Company, and for giving us a lot of valuable experiences and recommendations. Through mutual efforts, we signed the MOU, which would sow the seeds of friendship for our further cooperation, and we believe we will harvest more fruits of this friendship in several fields such as urban planning and management, airport industry, finance, education, culture, health and other areas, and will achieve mutual benefit, common prosperity and sustainable development ».
Mr Hui CAO, President, Beijing New Aerotropolis Holding Company
