A memorandum of understanding was signed in Pudong (China) on November 7, 2012 between Mr Jean-Claude Dutilleux, chairman of the Paris Region Economic Development Agency, on behalf of the Hubstart Paris® alliance, and the chairman of the Shanghai Free Trade Zones Administration, under the auspices and in the presence of Mr Jiang Liang, mayor of Pudong District. This memorandum made reference to the cooperative agreements set up for the cross-promotion of the two airport areas as part of the Hubstart Paris® alliance.
The Greater Roissy, covers three departements (Val d’Oise, Seine-Saint-Denis and Seine-et-Marne) around the Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport area, and is one of the most attractive regions in Paris Region.
The Greater Roissy attracted 32 foreign investment projects in 2011, representing the creation (or safe-guarding) of 1,430 jobs – which equates to 13.7% of the foreign investment projects and 20.4% of the jobs created or safeguarded in Paris Region.
On February 7th, 2012, Hubstart Paris® and Aerotropolis EuropeTM were awarded a shared “Greater Paris” Label by the Minister of Urban Affairs in charge of Greater Paris, the Prefect for the Paris Region and the City of Paris, and the Chairman of Paris Métropole. The objective of the Greater Paris Label is to increase awareness and boost the standing of projects that make a contribution to the identity, exposure and architecture of Greater Paris.
On January 17th, 2012, a delegation of institutional, business and political Val d’Oise representatives (partners of Hubstart Paris®), met with several Shanghai airport area representatives. The objective of those meetings was to continue discussions that have been ongoing for several months as part of the Hubstart Paris® approach to develop cooperation initiatives in the same way as those initiated following the agreement signed with Atlanta in July 2011.
A delegation of Hubstart Paris® representatives embodying the international institutional promotional approach conducted by Greater Roissy, were in Atlanta between October 25th and 27th, 2011 as part of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement signed last July 11th.
Convincing purchasing advisors… This is a first step in welcoming new international companies into the Greater Roissy area. And that is precisely the perspective that Hubstart Paris® partners chose to highlight at a business tour given on July 12th, 2011 to representatives from foreign embassies and French/foreign chambers of commerce, and to real-estate and development professionals.
On Monday, July 11th, 2011, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed (USA), Paris Region Economic Development Agency Chairman and Hubstart Paris Alliance Representative Jean-Claude Detilleux, and Aéroports de Paris representative Elisabeth Le Masson; the signing took place in the presence of Bernard Anquez, Air France representative at Delta Airlines.

On April 11th, 2011, a letter of intent was signed by 6 representatives from the airport zones of Greater Roissy, France, and Greater Memphis, Tennessee, USA, in the presence of Mr AC Wharton, Mayor of Memphis and Mr Maurice Leroy, Minister of the City and Greater Paris. The objective is clear: to intensify economic cooperation between both airport zones and to develop opportunities and business schemes of shared interest.
Hubstart Paris® and Aerotropolis EuropeTM have decided to strengthen their relationship so as to more intensively put forward the assets of Greater Roissy internationally in the face of competition from other airports, and to conduct together operational initiatives to boost jobcreating economic growth throughout the local authorities’ sectors.
During EBACE 2010 exhibition in Geneva, the Hubstart Paris team highlighted to Jet Aviation the benefits to be based at Paris-Le Bourget for maintenance operations and the Hubstart Paris services to jumpstart operations.

Hubstar Paris®, the Grand Roissy international territorial promotion body, which was launched in June 2009 by more than 15 public and private players, has changed its name to Hubstart Paris®. The body is attracting an increasing number of stakeholders in the greater Roissy area. Air France, the European leader in air transport and top operator at the Roissy hub, has recently become a member, as have TLF Overseas, the air freight trade organization, and DIRECCTE Ile-de-France (Paris Region), the regional enterprise, consumption, competition, labor and employment agency.
